AutoblogGreen did an article on the Q4 2012 Plug-in sales. And the Volt was number one in market share of the Plug-in segment. Impressive! Here is the list and the graphic:

Indeed, Chevy deserves to have the spot! Not only is it the most affordable car that year, but it's also the most reliable car in terms of mobility and efficiency; cheaper to maintain and cheaper replacement parts.
I agree, I currently own a 2012 Chevrolet Volt and I'm thoroughly impressed with how fuel efficient it is. I am able to get about 55 mpg in the city, which is wonderful! I commend the Chevrolet for continuing to mix innovation with social responsibility.
